Flash

Ever so often an artist emerges in the music industry that forces a change in the status quo and commands the immediate attention of fans and peers alike. Not since the introduction of artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Tupac and Jay-Z has the industry seen a talent this powerful… Enter Flash - a triple threat with lyrics, looks and charisma. In a climate of sing-songy hooks, meaningless verses and here today, gone tomorrow artists, Flash offers a refreshing dose of the wordplay, wit and creativity that’s been missing from the game for so long.

Flash is no newcomer to the music industry; he was most recently signed to Ruff Ryders Records (DMX, The Lox, Eve), and before that, SRC Records (Akon, David Banner), after being discovered by its’ CEO, music business veteran, Steve Rifkind. Unfortunately, Flash’s albums were never released under either imprint. Having already toured the world and worked with varied superstars such as Akon, Swizz Beatz, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Jadakiss, David Banner and Fat Joe, Flash is a recognized force amongst artists and executives within the industry. The buzz he’s garnered throughout his career has made his first release a highly anticipated project.

Now, as a free agent, Flash is determined to take the reigns of his career and dictate his own destiny. Through his imprint, Betta Muzik Group, Flash will independently launch his long awaited debut album, Struggle, Stress & Strength. This album is full of very personal songs like "My Life" which features label mate Ryan Corbin, but it also offers soon to be chart toppers like "Opposites Attract" which will be a definite winner with his female fanbase. To Flash, this album represents an opportunity to show that making great music doesn’t have to come at the expense of lyricism. “Right now there are very few songs with substance topping the charts. My goal is to make hit records that people can dance & have a good time to but still have meaning. Basically, I’m bringing back well-written songs that are accepted by the streets but also appeal to an audience outside the streets. Im going to take Hip Hop to a place it hasn't been in a long time with this album."

A native of South Jersey, Flash is a child of hip hop. Having been surrounded by the art form from birth, one could easily say he was born to rap. While his classmates were considering “real world” careers, Flash already knew his future was in music and began developing the lyrical prowess his fans know him for today. Spending most of his teen years on the streets and in and out of detention facilities, Flash continued to hone his craft and never lost his ambition to succeed musically. It is through these experiences that Flash remains grounded, and keeps his music relatable to listeners from all walks of life. “I want to make classic songs that will impact the world forever; very few artists today are making music people will still listen to ten or even five years from now.” Named for his good-looks and flossy, yet understated fashion sense, Flash’s appeal transcends the boundaries that trap most artists, attracting fans of all ages and both genders.

Much like the genre of hip hop itself, Flash’s story is one of survival- having endured countless highs and lows throughout his career, he is now poised to finally realize the success and recognition he deserves. A rarity in the entertainment business, Flash possesses the total package- superior talent, physical appeal, and a magnetic personality that makes him stand out in every room. These qualities, coupled with his ability to create music that will withstand the test of time, make him sure to be a success not only in music, but in film, television and fashion as well.

Now you know Flash. So watch, but most importantly listen- and get ready to truly enjoy Betta Muzik.
